DB InfraGO AG and Správa železnic award first public contract for new Dresden–Prague line

Contract for project management in the joint planning area for the new Dresden–Prague line

(Dresden, January 8, 2021) DB InfraGO AG and Správa železnic put the first joint contract out to tender in August 2020. The Europe-wide tender process for project management in the joint planning area between Heidenau and Usti nad Labem has now concluded. The contract has been awarded to the “Projektsteuerung NBS Dresden–Prag” bidding consortium, which is headed by Vössing Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH and Schüßler-Plan GmbH.

The project for the new line consists of a German, a Czech and a joint planning section. Deutsche Bahn AG tender documents will apply in the joint planning section, to which the contract now awarded relates. A market consultation for this award procedure was held on January 15, 2020 in Prague. More than 70 interested parties from the Czech Republic, Germany and other European countries took part in the consultation, revealing the European significance of the contract award.

The public contract was awarded on the basis of the planning agreement concluded by Správa železnic, DB InfraGO AG and DB Energie GmbH in 2019 and will be managed by DB AG.
